update.update.update. update.update. update.

Here's a little recap of the weekend, which unfortunately caught me without camera. Can you believe that??
Anyway, here's what went down in the world of ARBC youth ministry!
Flapjack fundraiser on Saturday the 13th at Applebee's was a HUGE success. With presales, walk-ins and tips, we raised over $500. That was the easiest fundraiser we have ever done, hands down. The Mighty Middle Schoolers got a chance to show off all they had learned from the Heroic High Schoolers about service. Our servers worked their little rear ends off and made me super proud. Seems everywhere we go, arbc youth volunteers make the right kind of impression...and that's the kind that gives God the eternal glory.
It was a weekend for service....some of our current high schoolers and some who have graduated out of the youth program at ARBC were true servants as they volunteered to handle merch and handbilling at the MercyMe/Aaron Shust/ Monk and Neagle concer this past Sunday night. Here is a quote from the production coordinator..."Thank you to all the volunteers and the runners who were probably one of the best groups of volunteers I have ever worked with!''
So, once again, we give God the glory for giving us servant hearts. Just a little taste of heaven on earth, you know?
I'll say it a million times over...some of the best people on the planet are a part of ARBC youth ministry. It blows me away to know you guys!!
What's up next? SHOUTFEST!! Meet at the church saturday with $10 for gate admission and $$ for lunch/merch/extreme games. Road trip to BEAUFORT! You can check out the info on Shoutfest here

Youtube Video of the week for Oct.1-7
Quite possibly my favorite youtube video ever. So, does American pop culture have an impact on the rest of the world? You better believe it...
Thanks to John Cooper (www.myspace.com/johncooper) for pointing this out!

Redemption
So, it's always good when someone has a chance for redemption. Especially when it's on national television. Miss Teen South Carolina, you are one brave chick!

Welcome!
Hola!
I'm glad you stopped by! I'm hoping that you saw the web addy when you visited us for the Boarders for Christ Event. But whatever the reason you stopped to check us out, I hope it won't be the last time. We want to know you at ARBC. The real you. And I mean that. I personally believe that you are unique individual, created in the image of God, and you are worth getting to know and love.
Stick around for a while. Hopefully you'll begin to see the love of Christ displayed in ways you never imagined. Hopefully you'll get to know us, too. And you'll find out that we are real, we suffer, we struggle, we search for truth, but most of all that we love Jesus.
Thanks for stopping by! See you Wednesday evening(at 6PM) or Sunday morning (8:30 eXalt, 9:45 SS and 11:00 Celebration ---Sunday AM schedule change begins October 7th)
Peace!

You...street team...two great opportunities
Street team needed for BFC coming Sept. 23! Those of you whose gifts are handing out and stapling, well, we have a job for you!
First week in Sept- I need callers to call churches after school and tell them what's going down at ARBC
Sept. 8 Street team A will be going on a publicity mission for BFC
Sept. 15 Street team B will be going on a publicity mission for BFC
AND if you are interested, you can also help promote the MercyMe/Aaron Schust concert that is coming to the Gaillard Auditorium on October 14. I need callers to call local churches and let them know what's coming up. After BFC, we will go out again as street teams to post fliers, etc.
We've got our work cut out for us, but it's a great opportunity to support our brothers and sisters in Christ who have answered the call to take their talent, their passion for God, and their love for people and go out and make disciples of all men!
Leave a comment if you are interested in helping. We'll get you hooked up with the right job!
